Sunday Snapshot: Family
I’m finishing up my three month stint with my sister and her family this week. We’ve been talking about doing family photo shoots since the day I set foot in the house. And of course, it got put off until the very last weekend…when we realized, “oh shoot, if we don’t do it now, it will never happen!”
Catching all family members looking presentable and a toddler and an infant in a good mood is nearly impossible.
Catching all family members looking presentable, a toddler and an infant in a good mood, and all looking at the camera is a near miracle.
Catching all family members looking presentable, a toddler and an infant in a good mood, all looking at the camera, and smiling before the wonderful evening light completely disappears?
Yeah, that’s just too much to ask for.
But while there may not be a perfect family portrait in the bunch, I think we came away with some shots that are perfect in their imperfection.
And shooting just one child?
{Sidenote: her eyes? Totally un-enhanced. Naturally that blue. Spectacular, aren’t they?}
Or even just shooting two?
Way easier than trying to capture the whole crew.
The candids still remain some of my favorites though.
Gotta love real life shining through.
One thing is for certain, I’m going to miss this crew a whole bunch.
So much so I’m considering having the whole state of Washington moved to be in closer proximity to Florida. However, something tells me that’s not going to happen.

Visiting from Sunday Snapshot … I love your photos!!
Beautiful shots… especially the candids! One with everybody looking is great for a Christmas card, but one of your sister pulling on your face will make you laugh years from now!
