50 Great Short Stories

The same friend who recommended Life of Pi to me lent me this book at the beginning of the semester.  I pick it up whenever I’m in the mood to read an entire story in one sitting.  It’s a great collection from a variety of authors.  My favorite story so far has been The Other Side of the Hedge by E.M. Forster.  I would highly recommend finding and reading this story somewhere.  It’s an extraordinary metaphor for this life and the road many of us travel.  As far as short story collections go, I would highly recommend this collection for both its variety of authors and its small size.
